The hiking and repelling trip and the mountain biking adventure were the highlights for sure!

Day 1

We flew in to Salt Lake City and rented a Jeep to drive to Moab. We grabbed a quick lunch and got on the road for us to get to Arches National Park for a hike. We reserved an entry time and worked backward from there.

Day 2

We went on an incredible hike and repelling adventure this day with Moab Adventure Center. We chose the Morning Glory Arch and Medieval Chamber excursion. It was amazing. Our guide was fantastic and we loved our experience. We grabbed a beer and burger at the Moab Brewery after and it hit the spot after a great day spent outdoors. Then we headed back to our lovely tent at Ulum, hit the hot tub and then listened to live music at sunset.

Day 3

This day we went on a mountain biking excursion. We did an intermediate, half day ride with Rim Tours on the Intrepid Trail at Dead Horse Point State Park. It was challenging, but totally exhilarating at the same time. The scenery was amazing and our guide was excellent. We then did a great hike after at Canyon Lands National Park which was near Dead Horse State Park. Huge day of incredible physical activity, beautiful scenery and a ton of fun. We grabbed a lovely dinner back at our resort as we were exhausted.

Day 4

This day we slept in after our two big days and grabbed a quick lunch at a taco truck. We then went to some nearby lovely hikes that we found and spent the early evening walking around Moab and grabbed dinner. Again, spent some time at Ulum watching the sunset, hot tubbing and have cocktails by the fire pits.

Day 5

We woke up early for a hike near the resort and watched some mountain climbers repel down some cool cliffs. We packed up and headed up to Park City for our last day in Utah. We stayed at the St. Regis and had a fabulous time sitting out on their deck having drinks and appetizers, enjoying the sun and chilling together. Later, we walked around downtown Park City and just walked into a Thai Restaurant for a late dinner.

Anything you would add or do differently?

  • There was nothing we would have changed about this trip. Based on the time we had to enjoy Moab and Park City, it was perfect.
