Day 1
Arrived in Seville, went to our hostel and checked-in in the early evening. At the hostel, they had an ad for a flamenco show that was happening that night, so we decided to go. On the way, we stopped at a restaurant to get typical southern Spanish paella for dinner. Paella in Seville is something you cannot miss! After dinner, we walked to the flamenco show. If you want to see something culturally Spanish, fun, and lively - a flamenco show is a great place to do so!
There are multiple usually happening on most nights in the city. Seville is another Spanish city with awesome nightlife. Head to Fun Club or Terraza Alfonso for a more typical night cub experience or El Rinconcillo (Sevilles oldest bar) or BierKraft for a lower key, more brewy vibe.
Day 2
Took a day trip to the popular city of Ronda and the "White Villages" for drastic landscapes and a sea of white architecture. It's very Instagram friendly and an amazing site to see. Its an easy day trip from Seville by train. Make sure you see the Plaza del Torros, where they used to host bull fights, and the Arab village. Walk to the top of Tazo for an amazing picturesque view!
Day 3
We wandered the city in search of the historic sites we knew to be there, the Real Alcazar and the Plaza de Espana. Both beautiful historic sites with quintessential Spanish architecture and gardens. We spent half the morning cafe hopping for cappuccinos and walking through these sites for pictures, relaxing, and pretty views. After that, we made our way to Barrio Santa Cruz, a historic part of the city for shopping and tapas.
Seville also has a reputation for ceramics and antique shops, where you can buy beautiful pieces you cant get anywhere else.
For dinner, our favorite restaurant we found was called Bodeguita Romero
Anything you would add or do differently?
-
You can take a ferry to Gibraltar and technically get another passport stamp for being in another country!
-
Monkeys roam the peninsula and will even grab at your jacket strings!
-
I didn't feel like we needed too much time in Seville and felt like the better things to see were actually day trips from Seville like Ronda, Gibraltar, and Granada
