Day 1
After a long 16 hours of travel from the States, we arrived in Palma, Mallorca! We grabbed a taxi into town, and our excitement for the days ahead grew as we peered out the car windows at the stunning sights of Palma. We were greeted by the friendly staff at the Hotel Cort. Our room, "the cocoon", was small but charming. Bonus points for the Molton Brown bath products!
Day 2
Our first full day in Mallorca started with breakfast on the square outside of our hotel. M5, the restaurant at Hotel Cort, served the best orange juice we had during our entire trip. We walked to the famous Royal Palace and enjoyed the beautiful gardens and seaside views. Around the corner is the Cathedral where we admired the stunning gothic architecture. As the city began to wake up, we strolled through the winding streets and window shopped before check out.
Early afternoon, we hopped in a taxi and made our way to Port de Pollenca. After a 45 minute drive, we arrived at the gorgeous seaside Hotel Illa d'Or. The stylish hotel surpassed our expectations. When we saw our room with a walk out balcony overlooking the Mediterranean, we knew we were in for a treat. That evening, we walked along the pine walk path and stopped for stone-fired pizzas. We ended the night taking in the mountainous views on the Hotel boardwalk.
Days 3 to 5
We spent the next three days falling in love with Port de Pollenca. We enjoyed many strolls along the Pine Walk, dips in the ocean, laying on the poolside cabanas, drinks by the sea, and massages at the hotel spa. The Hotel Illa d'Or is situated at the quiet end of the Pine Walk making it the perfect location for relaxation. We loved the peaceful respite it offered, while only being a 10 minute stroll to the bustling shops and restaurants of the Port.
We enjoyed a day trip to the inland town of Pollenca. There, we walked the historic 365 steps up to the Calvary Chapel. The lookout was breathtaking and well worth the sweat. The picturesque and peaceful town made us feel like we were walking through a fairytale village. We stumbled across some adorable shops and a pop-up art show inside an old church. This day was full of hidden gems!
Days 6 to 10
After our final morning relaxing in Port de Pollenca, we caught a ride to Soller. I had a death grip on my husband's hand as our Uber driver navigated the narrow roads of the mountainous town. We safely arrived at the adults-only 19th century Hotel Salvia. We stayed in the cheery yellow Sol Junior Suite that overlooks the vibrant gardens with the Tramontana Mountains in the background. For dinner, we enjoyed a reservation at the highly sought after C'an Llimona. The authentic Italian food in this intimate setting was delightful. We were thrilled to be joined by the sleepy restaurant cat!
We spent our days in Soller relaxing by the pool and enjoying the sights, sounds, and bites of the city center. Our favorite lunch spot quickly became El Petit Bistro. There, we enjoyed many salads and apps as we watched the tram roll through town. There was no shortage of local shops in Soller, and we enjoyed filling our suitcases with authentic souvenirs to remember our Honeymoon by.
A highlight of the trip was taking the historic tram to the Port for a romantic private boat ride on the Med. Our hilarious Skipper took us to hidden coves and swimming holes on the sea (with a special appearance from a couple of mountain goats!).
On our last night, we had dinner with a fabulous view at NENI located at the Bikini Hotel. It was the perfect way to wrap up our trip.
Pro tip: when traveling to Soller during busy season, plan ahead with dinner reservations! Also, for the most divine chocolatey Argentinean dessert, head to The Garden Station.

-
Booked dinner reservations for every night in Soller - it was hard to get in anywhere without reservations!

Less time in Soller and more time in Port de Pollenca or elsewhere on Mallorca. Soller was beautiful but overcrowded with tourists
