Day 1

Arrived in Budapest late the night before arrived at the Bohem Art Hotel in District 7 for late check in. Woke up early on Saturday, grabbed a cappacino and took a Monster Scooter Tour. The tour was mostly focus on the Pest side, it was 2 hours long, had a great tour guide, super fun way to see the city and got a lot of great historical information . After tour walked around Molnar u. which was a pedestrian only strip filled with shops and cafe's. It was blocks and blocks long and very lively. Headed to the Karavan food truck park to grab a burger. After late lunch headed to a really cool market filled vendors, shops, bars and cafes. Continued to explore the sites including the Parliament Building on the Pest side. Later that evening we had a great dinner sitting outside at the Tom George Restaurant.

Day 2

This was the day of the race! Again, woke and got a cappuccino and headed to Hungaroring for the Formula 1 Grand Prix Race. Spent most of our day there and then headed back to the city and explored the Buda side of the city. We went to the Leo Rooftop Budapest for dinner and great views of the Pest side of the city.

Anything you would add or do differently?

  • They were there for a very short time but would have like to have done a river cruise to explore more of the city from that perspective.
