My daugher and I have always dreamed of traveling Switzerland by train and hiking through the Alps–it was a trip of a lifetime!
We try and get to the Colorado Rocky Mountains every summer. I grew up in Denver, so we also love to spend time here and visit with friends and family.
We traveled here to check out colleges for our daughter.
We made reservations at the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite Natl. Park a year in advance, a place we had always wanted to travel to as a family. We designed a four-state road trip around this dream destination, beginning in Bozeman, Montana, and ending in Lake Tahoe, California.
My husband was taking a class for his MBA in Lisbon, so we decided to bring our family to Portugal for 5 days prior to its start. We had heard it was a beautiful, historic city, with interesting cities/towns to easily see and visit nearby.
This was a much-needed get-together with my hometown girlfriends! We wanted to meet in a place each of us had never visited, so we decided on Sedona for the beautiful scenery and tranquil setting.
This was a special celebration for my father-in-law's 80th birthday, to see his ancestral village of Itri with three generations of our family!
A backcountry-yoga retreat and family visit in my home state of Colorado!
A dream getaway with my husband for a first-time trip to the city of lights!
I wanted to experience ACL, see family, and hit the Digital Travel Summit!

I traveled to Greece for a yoga retreat in Crete. I started in Athens, then on to Santorini before heading to Crete for the retreat.
My husband was an anthropology major in college. He always wanted to see Machu Picchu. We took the family to Machu Picchu for his 50th birthday and our 20th anniversary!
A few years ago, I was living in Seattle and my best friend was living in LA. He came up for a super fast visit over the 4th of July weekend and had never been to Washington before, so I wanted to show him as much of the state as I could while still giving him a feel for Seattle. So I took him on a two-day road trip and then spent one day in the city.
I was heading to a business trip in Vietnam and since I’m a travel planner, I wanted to add a few destinations to the trip that I felt could get to know quickly. So I planned 2 weeks in Thailand know that I would need to be doing a little work here and there so couldn’t be moving around too much. One week in Bangkok and one week in Chiang Mai, where I was really interested in getting to know, felt like the perfect amount of time.
I visited this area on vacation through a package offered by Dolphin Blue Paradise, an eco-resort on the coast of Isla San Cristobal. My itinerary included two nights in Casco Viejo, Panama City, and four nights at Dolphin Blue Paradise.
Visiting family friends, and the 4th of July parade
To take it all in
Spring Break 2024
I graduated college in 2022 and the way that COVID timed out, our graduating class never got to go abroad. My group of friends still wanted the chance to travel abroad so we planned a 3 week European girls trip following our graduation in May!
Living in downtown Chicago is great! and tiring. My boyfriend and I were craving a nature getaway to do things you just can't in the city... hike, see trees, hear birds other than pigeons, etc. Since returning, I don't think either of us have stopped thinking about this dreamy weekend in the mountains.
A fun couple’s trip
Weekend getaway and skiing
Summer trip to Spain with our 4 teenagers
I first fell in love with idea of visiting Barcelona when I watched the movie Vicky Cristina Barcelona as as teenager. I was entranced by the beautiful, unique culture and the architecture of Antoni Gaudí. When the day finally came to plan my bachelorette trip, I knew exactly where I'd like to go with my three best friends.
Sedona is suuuuch a magical place! For me, Sedona feels like Eden: a true Heaven on Earth.
Whenever I need rest and rejuvenation in nature, I always venture to Sedona to recharge.
I wanted to go on an adventure with my husband to celebrate turning 50!
As Europeans, we've always dreamed of visiting Hawaii Islands, once for being famous to be a paradisiac place, but also for being far away and unreachable. The three of us are young professionals and adventurers by heart. So, we decided we want to see Maui, but as low-budget and as adventurously as possible. We challenged ourselves to get there and we finally did it this summer.
I had a long layover in Seattle and wanted to get out and explore.
Wanted to escape to the outdoors with my family.
My husband and daughter traveled to Budapest to see the Formula 1 Grand Prix.
A brief and action packed family meet up.
Visited a friend in Denver to see Al Green at Red Rocks and drive up to Crested Butte for camping with other friends. We enjoyed the perfect mix of nights out in Denver and camping/hiking.

Born and raised in St. Louis so this is the itinerary I recommend to my friends when visiting :)
We started our Italy trip in Rome and knew we wanted to explore the south of Italy. Our plan was to make it all the way around the boot and then end in Sicily, a place my boyfriend has wanted to see for a while. We ended up skipping most of the boot because there was a really easy overnight ferry from Naples to Palermo. So off to Sicily we went!
I have always heard great things about solo traveling in Berlin. I wanted to put myself out of my comfort zone and explore a bigger city solo, and even enjoy the nightlife!
My husband and I were celebrating our 20th anniversary!
Hometown
I am studying abroad for the semester in San Sebastián, Spain! There is a group of Santa Clara kids that came with me and we decided we needed a weekend getaway with some sun after a rainy week in San Seb.
I chose a weekend getaway in these three locations because Portugal is in close proximity to Spain, and my best friend and I wanted to do a little trip together. We chose to see Lisbon as it is a city destination where we know a few other students studying abroad, and I recommended Sintra as I went there a few years back and absolutely adored it. Nazaré is a bucket list place that I've always wanted to visit to see the world-famous surfing waves and picturesque cliffs. Portugal isn't too big so we could hop around from place to place.
Got the girl gang together to reunite from all our abroad destinations! Prague is beaming with beauty and nightlife and is the perfect destination for a girls trip.
